Cardamom Events Ibiza were whisked off to India recently to assist with the stunning wedding of our founder Navine’s niece.
The location for the spectacular 3 day event was the Tijara Fort-Palace complex – an unfinished marvel of three structures, built in the Rajput-Afghan style with early colonial influences: the Mardana for the royal men, the Rani Mahal for the maharanis and a pleasure palace on the edge of a plateau, overlooking a water body called the Hawa Mahal, palace of winds.
Built by Alwar’s Maharaja Balwant Singh in 1835, the fort-palace comprises three palaces: Mardana, Rani and Hawa Mahals, built in Rajput-Afghan style with distinct colonial influences.
Selina’s dream was to get married in Ibiza but sadly her grandmother passed away before the wedding so the family made the decision to take the wedding to Mother India in memory of her grandma.
Over the course of the 3 days, guests were treated to a delicious array of Indian vegetarian street food and entertained Indian Dhol drums and a traditional Qawwali band.
Extra special thanks to Glance Events
and owner Richa Bajaj for their work in planning the wedding.
